As of today, out of season, returns ~April. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
Each spring, the high-altitude meadows and slopes of Yumthang Valley in North Sikkim erupt in a dense, colorful bloom of Rhododendron species and associated alpine flowers.
The display is driven by spring snowmelt and occurs across a narrow altitudinal band, producing vibrant patches of red, pink, white and purple flowers for a few weeks.
