Is Wichita Mountains Bison Calving Season happening right now?

As of today, past peak, season runs to ~June 30. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Each spring the American bison (Bison bison) herd at Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge produces calves across a concentrated season.

Births are largely synchronized, producing many visible red-brown newborn calves on refuge grasslands and along refuge roads, making spring and early summer prime months for calf viewing.
