Each winter, meltwater and cold temperatures carve temporary blue ice caves inside outlets of Vatnajökull, Iceland's largest ice cap.
The caves offer intense blue light and crystal-clear ice structure, but they are unstable and only safe to visit with certified guides during the winter season.
