Is Valdes Sea Lion Pupping Season happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~December. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

At Punta Norte and Caleta Valdés on Argentina's Península Valdés, southern sea lions (Otaria flavescens) come ashore to breed and give birth from mid-December into February, with most pups born around mid-January.

The crowded rookeries are also what later draw orcas close to the shore to hunt.
