As of today, out of season, returns ~April. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
Each autumn the deciduous Tasmanian beech, Nothofagus gunnii, changes leaf color across highland tarns, moorlands and sheltered valleys.
Displays are concentrated in subalpine stands on the Central Plateau, Walls of Jerusalem and higher parts of Mount Field, producing a short, highly seasonal spectacle appreciated by walkers and landscape photographers.
