Each winter, large schools of Atlantic herring attract persistent feeding events in the fjords around Tromsø, Norway.
Humpback whales and transient killer whales (orcas) converge on the herring, producing dramatic surface activity, breaching, and cooperative herding that is visible from boats and some coastal vantage points.
