Thor's Well is a collapsed sea cave on the Cape Perpetua headland near Yachats, Oregon.
During high tides combined with large northwest swells and onshore winds, the hole appears to drain the ocean and then explosively spout seawater and spray through its rim.
The best displays occur in the fall and winter when astronomical king tides and storm-driven swells align.
