Is Sado Toki (Crested Ibis) Viewing Season happening right now?

As of today, in season, building toward peak (~December 10). Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

The crested ibis, or toki (Nipponia nippon), is the focus of a long-running reintroduction and habitat-restoration program on Sado Island.

Visitors can observe wild birds at managed feeding grounds, observation hides, and on guided tours, with highest visibility during the post-harvest and winter feeding season.
