Is Riisitunturi Tykky (snow-crowned trees) happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~December. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Tykky, or tykkylumi, is heavy crown snow-load formed by rime ice and wet snow that accumulates on conifer crowns during cold, humid, windy weather.

Riisitunturi National Park in Posio, Finland, is one of the best-known places to see dramatic tykky formations on spruce trees, most reliably in mid to late winter.
