Is Red Deer Rut, Scottish Highlands happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~September. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Each autumn red deer stags (Cervus elaphus) in the Scottish Highlands enter the rut, competing for mates with roaring displays, parallel walks, and occasional fights.

The spectacle is concentrated across glens and moorland, most visible at dawn and dusk during a 4-6 week seasonal window.
