Is Pantanal Jabiru (Tuiuiú) Nesting happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~July. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

The jabiru (Tuiuiú, Jabiru mycteria) nests in tall trees across the Pantanal during the annual dry season when receding waters concentrate fish and make feeding easier.

Nest-building usually begins in the early dry season, nests hold chicks through the driest months, and fledging commonly occurs as waters start to rise again.
