The Norfolk Broads swallowtail is the British subspecies Papilio machaon britannicus, found almost exclusively in the wet fen and coastal marshes of the Norfolk Broads.
Adults have a single annual brood and are strongly tied to stands of milk-parsley and wet alder carr where larvae feed and adults nectar.
