Is Ningaloo Coral Mass Spawning happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~March. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Each year on parts of Ningaloo Reef multiple species of hard corals spawn together, releasing eggs and sperm into the water column during a narrow window of nights.

Spawning is synchronized to lunar phase, sea temperature and local conditions, producing short-lived pulses of gametes that fuel reef recruitment and plankton feeders.
