Is Mount Shasta lenticular cloud stacks happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~October. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Lenticular clouds are orographic wave clouds that form when stable, moist air flows over Mount Shasta and condenses at wave crests.

The mountain frequently produces stacked altocumulus lenticularis plates that can persist for hours, producing dramatic, spaceship-like 'stacks' above the summit.

Timing is weather-driven and most frequent during active fall, winter, and spring storm patterns.
