Is Mont Blanc Alpenglow (Chamonix) happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~November. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Alpenglow is an atmospheric optical effect that turns the snow and rock of the Mont Blanc massif pink, red, or gold just after sunset or just before sunrise.

Around Chamonix the effect is most dramatic when peaks are snow-covered and the valley air is clear; viewing is possible year-round from high viewpoints and lakes that reflect the massif.
