Along the west coast of Cebu, enormous schools of sardines aggregate in shallow coastal waters, forming dense baitballs and swirling vortexes when chased by predators.
The spectacle is viewable from shore, snorkel, or dive and attracts predators such as jacks, tuna, dolphins, and reef sharks.
