Is Liuwa Plain Wildebeest Migration happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~October. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Liuwa Plain National Park in western Zambia hosts Africa's second-largest wildebeest migration.

Tens of thousands of blue wildebeest (joined by zebra and antelope) follow seasonal floods and rains, converging on pans to calve and then dispersing as floodwaters rise.

The spectacle is seasonal and weather-driven, with the highest concentrations in the southern hemisphere late-year rains.
