Is Lake Tekapo Lupin Bloom happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~November. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Each southern spring the introduced Russell lupin (Lupinus polyphyllus) forms dense, colorful displays along the lake shorelines and roadside verges around Lake Tekapo in the Mackenzie Basin.

The bloom is highly photogenic and draws many visitors, but timing and extent vary with season and maintenance.
