Is Lake Abijatta Flamingo Mega-Congregation happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~October. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Seasonal congregations of primarily Lesser Flamingo (Phoeniconaias minor) with smaller numbers of Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus) gather at Lake Abijatta in Abijatta-Shalla Lakes National Park.

Birds concentrate where algal food is abundant, producing spectacular pink flocks visible from shoreline viewpoints and hot-spring ridgelines.
