Is Ladybug Overwintering Aggregations (Loon Lake, BC) happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~September. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

In parts of British Columbia, several species of lady beetles (Coccinellidae), most commonly convergent lady beetles and the Asian lady beetle, form dense overwintering aggregations on south-facing rock outcrops, cliff faces and sheltered buildings.

These aggregations appear each autumn and persist through winter, then disperse in spring.
