Is La Flor Olive Ridley Arribada happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~July. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Playa La Flor Wildlife Refuge hosts repeated mass nesting events (arribadas) of the Olive Ridley sea turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea).

During the nesting season thousands to tens of thousands of females come ashore in multi-night waves to dig nests and lay eggs, a process that can repeat every 23-30 days during the season.
