As of today, out of season, returns ~August. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Each year, from late August through November, the Kekoldi Indigenous Reserve in Costa Rica becomes a prime observation point for migrating raptors.

This phenomenon, known as the 'River of Raptors,' sees species such as Turkey Vultures, Broad-winged Hawks, Swainson's Hawks, and Mississippi Kites soaring through the region.

The peak migration period typically occurs in the first three weeks of October, offering birdwatchers unparalleled opportunities to witness this natural spectacle.

The Kekoldi Scientific Center, located within the reserve, serves as a hub for research and observation during this migration season.
