Each autumn Jiuzhaigou Valley's mixed broadleaf and conifer forests produce a strong fall color display as maples, birches, poplars, larches and other deciduous species turn yellow, orange and red.
The color show is layered by elevation and reflected in the park's turquoise lakes and pools, producing the classic Jiuzhaigou autumn scenes.
