As of today, out of season, returns ~November. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
Seasonal aggregations of Atlantic sailfish (Istiophorus albicans) hunt schooling baitfish off the shelf edge around Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo.
The hunts form dramatic baitballs and surface strikes that are visible from sportfishing and wildlife-viewing boats, often accompanied by tunas, jacks, and seabirds.
