As of today, out of season, returns ~April. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
Each spring the slopes of Hwangmaesan in Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea, are carpeted by royal azalea (Rhododendron schlippenbachii) blooms.
For roughly three weeks the mountain turns bright pink, attracting photographers, hikers, and a weekend festival focused on the azalea display.
