Is Hunza Apricot Blossom Peak happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~March. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Each spring the apricot trees (Prunus armeniaca) that terrace the Hunza Valley explode into pale pink and white blossoms.

The bloom transforms villages such as Karimabad, Ganish and Gulmit into floral corridors, attracting photographers and cultural visitors for roughly six weeks each year.

Timing varies by altitude and winter severity.
