As of today, in season, building toward peak (~June 20). Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
Each summer Arctic foxes (Vulpes lagopus) raise cubs in dens across Hornstrandir, a remote protected peninsula in the Westfjords of Iceland.
Cubs are most visible after they begin leaving dens, offering rare close-up wildlife viewing if approached quietly and responsibly.
