Is Hanaikada Cherry Blossom Rafts (Hirosaki) happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~April. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

In Hirosaki Park, fallen cherry petals collect on the calm surface of the castle moats forming floating rafts called hanaikada.

The effect is most striking during peak bloom when thousands of blossoms fall and nightly illumination creates mirror-like reflections on the water.
