Gomantong Caves in Sabah host very large colonies of edible-nest swiftlets and insectivorous bats.
Each evening at dusk the birds and bats leave the cave in dense columns and spirals to forage, creating a dramatic wildlife spectacle visible from the cave entrance and nearby river.
