As of today, out of season, returns ~August. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
Each late summer, adult goliath grouper (Epinephelus itajara) gather at predictable reef and wreck sites off Jupiter, Florida to form spawning aggregations.
These gatherings can include dozens to low hundreds of adults and are tied to warm sea temperatures and lunar cycles, making late-summer nights the best time to observe them from dive boats or snorkel charters.
