As of today, out of season, returns ~September. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
The Gambia River corridor funnels a diverse suite of migratory and nomadic raptors along a linear riverine and wetland landscape.
Large numbers of both Palearctic and intra-African raptors concentrate along riverine forests, mudflats and ricefields during the main southbound pulse in autumn and the return pulse in spring, producing reliable daytime soaring migration at several upriver and coastal viewing points.
