Is Fuego volcano nocturnal eruption glow happening right now?

As of Jun 19, 2026, 8:54 PM, happening now. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Volcán de Fuego (Fuego) is one of Central America’s most active stratovolcanoes.

While eruptive intensity varies, frequent Strombolian explosions commonly produce incandescent bursts, lava glow, and avalanches that are most visible after dark from nearby viewpoints and overnight camps on Acatenango.

The display is spectacular but hazardous; visitors must follow local guidance and INSIVUMEH bulletins.
