Is Frost flowers on new sea ice (Finland) happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~November. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Frost flowers are transient, dendritic ice crystals that form on new and young sea ice when relatively warm, saline surface ice and brine interact with very cold, calm air.

In the Baltic Sea and coastal Finland they appear during freeze-up and early winter on sheltered bays, leads, and refrozen leads, and are important for sea-surface chemistry and aerosol exchange.
