As of today, out of season, returns ~November. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
Buddha's Light at Mount Emei is an atmospheric optical phenomenon (a Brocken spectre with a surrounding glory) that appears when the sun is low behind an observer and a cloud or fog bank lies below.
The visitor's shadow appears centered in a multicolored halo on the cloud surface.
It is a weather-dependent event most reliably seen from the Golden Summit (Jinding).
