Enrosadira (Ladin) is the local name for the intense alpenglow that makes Dolomite peaks blush pink, orange and purple at sunrise and sunset.
The effect results from sunlight at low angles reflecting and scattering from the calcium-magnesium carbonate (dolomite) rock faces and is most pronounced on clear mornings/evenings across the UNESCO Dolomites massifs.
