Every cool season the montane ridges and meadows of Doi Inthanon host flowering rhododendrons (including Rhododendron arboreum and several related species).
Blooms occur on summit ridgelines, nature-trail clearings and Royal Project gardens, creating concentrated displays from early December through March, with the strongest color most often in January–February.
