Is Darvaza Gas Crater (Door to Hell) happening right now?

As of today, in season now. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

The Darvaza Gas Crater is a collapsing natural gas field in the Karakum Desert that has burned continuously since the 1970s after a drilling collapse and subsequent ignition.

The 60-70 meter wide, roughly 30 meter deep crater produces visible flames and heat at night and is visited by guided tours from Ashgabat and regional operators.
