Each autumn the Nubian ibex (Capra nubiana) in Dana Biosphere Reserve enter a distinct mating season.
Mature males join female herds and display territorial and chasing behaviors; the rut produces conspicuous movements and fights that make ibex easier to observe from roadside viewpoints and lodges in the reserve.
