Is Cusuco cloud forest Resplendent Quetzal breeding happening right now?

As of today, past peak, season runs to ~July 15. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

The Resplendent Quetzal (Pharomachrus mocinno) returns to montane cloud forest habitat in and around Cusuco National Park to breed each spring.

Breeding involves territory display, nesting in tree cavities, and peak vocal and display activity that makes the species easier to locate for several months each year.
