Is Congress Avenue Bridge Bat Emergence happening right now?

As of today, peak season now, through ~August 31. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Every spring through fall, roughly a million Mexican free-tailed bats roost beneath the Congress Avenue Bridge in downtown Austin and emerge at dusk in a massive, winding column to feed.

The nightly emergence is predictable during the warmer months and is one of North America’s largest urban bat spectacles.
