Is Chobe River Elephant Concentration happening right now?

As of today, in season, building toward peak (~July 1). Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Each dry season thousands of African savanna elephants concentrate along the Chobe River in northern Botswana.

Animals gather where permanent water and riverine vegetation remain, producing some of the highest observed elephant densities in Africa and very reliable wildlife viewing from boats and game drives.
