Is Chimgan Mountains wildflower bloom happening right now?

As of Jun 19, 2026, 8:54 PM, past peak, season runs to ~June 30. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Each spring the Chimgan (Chimgon) slopes and adjacent Beldersay and Amirsoy meadows in the Ugam-Chatkal/Western Tien Shan produce large displays of mountain bulbs and alpine wildflowers.

Species include the Chimgan tulip (Tulipa × tschimganica), Tulipa kaufmanniana and greigii, Iris tubergeniana, Primula fedtschenkoi and Eremurus spp., with displays shifting uphill as snow melts.
