Is Caucasus Bearded Vulture nesting happening right now?

As of today, past peak, season runs to ~July 15. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

The Bearded Vulture (Gypaetus barbatus) nests on cliff ledges and in small caves throughout the Caucasus.

Pairs build large stick-and-bone nests, lay 1-2 eggs in winter, incubate through late winter, and raise chicks that fledge in early summer.

Timing varies regionally but is predictably seasonal.
