Is Cabo Pulmo Jackfish Tornado happening right now?

As of today, in season, building toward peak (~July 15). Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Large schools of carangid jacks and trevallies congregate at Cabo Pulmo National Park and sometimes form dense, rotating columns or 'tornadoes' while hunting baitfish.

These ephemeral formations are a top draw for divers and snorkelers because of their size, coordination, and close proximity to the reef.
