Is Bogong Moth Migration happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~September. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Each spring millions of bogong moths (Agrotis infusa) fly from lowland breeding areas to the cool rock crevices and caves of the Australian Alps to aestivate over the hot months.

The migrations produce large evening flight events and concentrated aggregations in alpine shelters that are ecologically and culturally significant.
