Is Beta Taurid Daylight Fireballs happening right now?

As of today, in season, building toward peak (~June 25). Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

The Beta Taurids are a daytime branch of the Taurid meteoroid complex associated with comet 2P/Encke.

Each year in late June to early July Earth crosses stream filaments that occasionally produce bright daylight fireballs visible across wide areas.

Activity is broad and patchy, with occasional 'swarm' years that yield elevated numbers of bright bolides.
