Is Bang Lang Wild Orchid Cloud Forest Bloom happening right now?

As of Jun 7, 2026, 11:28 PM, peak season now, through ~June 30. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Every year Bang Lang National Park (Yala Province, southern Thailand) hosts an extended flowering season of wild orchids in its montane evergreen and lower cloud-forest habitats.

A mix of terrestrial and mycoheterotrophic Orchidaceae species appear across elevations around 500-1,200 m, including the locally important Lecanorchis betongensis.

Flowering spans much of the dry-to-wet transition season and is strongly species- and elevation-dependent.
