Is Bandar-e Jask mangrove bioluminescence happening right now?

As of today, out of season, returns ~November. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.

Bioluminescent displays along the Bandar-e Jask coastline and adjacent mangrove estuaries are caused mainly by bloom-forming dinoflagellates (commonly Noctiluca spp. in the region).

These events light up breaking waves and disturbed water near mangrove channels and estuary mouths.

Occurrences are seasonal and patchy, driven by coastal upwelling, nutrient pulses, and local hydrology.
