As of today, out of season, returns ~April. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
Each spring the Aksu-Zhabagly Nature Reserve in southern Kazakhstan erupts in blooms of wild Tulipa species.
Slopes and meadows at low- and mid-elevations produce vivid carpets of tulips for a few weeks, making this one of the best places to see wild tulips in their native Central Asian range.
