As of today, next: July 22, 2028. Earth Exhibit tracks the live conditions and flags it the moment it is on.
On 22 July 2028 the path of totality of a total solar eclipse passes directly over Sydney, the city's first total eclipse since 1857.
Observers in the path will see up to about three minutes and forty-nine seconds of totality in the middle of the day.
The track also crosses other parts of New South Wales and continues toward New Zealand.
